The increasing demand for regional products of customers who are also willing to pay a higher price, sustainability and new business models present the chances of the future of farming, but there are risks like climate change, mass production and price policy that need to be considered as well. New challenges and trends in farming, like sustainability, new technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, food tracking, vertical urban farming and vegan nutrition create endless opportunities to reinvent the industry.
